For more than twenty-five years, AnnMarie Harrison has vigorously represented clients in a wide variety of litigation proceedings. She has worked with some of the most highly regarded attorneys and judges in the State, both of which have sought her out for her superior legal writing and research skills. AnnMarie has practiced in both the private and public sectors in state and federal court matters, including employment (discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination), civil rights, criminal, commercial, appellate and affordable housing litigation. She also has participated in and worked on JAMS and American Arbitration Association arbitrations of complex cases, including contract/commercial law and patent law matters.
As a former judicial law clerk in the state and federal courts, AnnMarie is intimately familiar with the inner workings of both court systems. She is a former Law Clerk to the Honorable Erminie L. Conley, J.A.D. (retired) of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division and former Career Law Clerk to the late Honorable Joel A. Pisano, U.S.D.J. of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Additionally, AnnMarie practiced at the Office of the Federal Public Defender, Newark, New Jersey, where she handled all phases of litigation preparation, including appeals before the Supreme Court of the United States.
In the past, AnnMarie has taught as an Adjunct Professor at both Seton Hall University School of Law and Montclair State University.
On a personal level, she enjoys volunteering within her community and for her sons’ school-based and sports activities.
